The trailer focuses heavily on the temptation that occurs when a mysterious, attractive young man and woman arrive in the city, disrupting the established, stagnant relationships of the local elite.

The film is not just a collection of erotic stories. Director Zavala Kugler saw it as a "mordant criticism of Mexican society, which is full of racial and class prejudices". It aims to show characters from different economic realities "in different emotional ranges" and attach them "through their more earthly instincts". The central theme is that because of deep-seated prejudices, "love is almost impossible in Mexico and what exists is only sex without love". The plot ultimately explores not just physical desire but all kinds of "longing for love, seduction, power and disappointment".
